Steel is perhaps, the most fundamental aspect of human civilization. It is perhaps, the greatest gift of the industry to mankind. Without steel and its end products like jack post, our existence will be ancient. The interesting thing about the finished steel products, such as rods, bars, plates, wire, strip, and tube, are processed by the firm into valuable end products, such as floor jack. These products are used within the construction industry and they are also used in the fabrication industry. Definition

 

The meaning of steel end products such as jack post, means that they can be traded on the market, or in other words, are tradable products. This implies, that these products can be utilized by other industries like construction, engineering, etc. Steel firms can make more and more processed products, like making openings and treating surfaces, which provides benefits for customers and suppliers, besides cutting. Various steel products, produced in the steel plants are grouped into different categories, such as i) Semi-finished steel products ii) Crude steel products iii) Finished rolled steel products

 

a) Crude Steel Products

 

Crude steel products are in a solid-state or liquid state. Liquid steel is used for producing steel castings. Crude steel in solid form is called Steel ingots, which are made by putting liquid steel, into iron molds of shape, for converting into finished steel products, by hot forging. 

 

b) Semi-finished steel products

 

Semi-finished products are made, either by forging or rolling for ingots, by continuous casting, and converted into complete products, by forging or rolling.
