FOUR THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BUILDING YOUR HOME

Building a house is no small feat. And even though you'll have architects and contractors working with you, it still important to check it out and investigate some things for yourself. After all, you will live in it. You should also try to gather as much information and ask as many questions as possible.
Specifically, here are some areas of your new house that you may need to pay extra attention to:

1. Security:Chances are, one major thing you’re looking forward to as a home owner is the feeling of it all. Just like owning a car, there’s a wonderful feeling of ownership you get from something that is truly yours. If that’s true, then you definitely want to keep your home safe and secure. Consider investing in a home security system, or at least reinforce your locks and windows.

2. Bathrooms: Don’t be fooled into thinking that only extremely rich people have to worry about having many bathrooms. At the planning phase, you should consider how your bathroom layout might affect your family in the future. If you plan to live in your home for a long time, then you want to provide a bathroom layout that won’t have your kids at each other’s throats. You also obviously want privacy.

3. Outdoor space:At the earliest stages of their lives, your children will want to spend as much time outside as they do inside. There is hardly anything you can do about that, as the urge to play lies within all of us. You might even find yourself going outside to play with them from time to time. Because of this, you should consider the outdoor space when building. Do you want an expansive lawn, or is there going to be room for a pool?

4. Overall structure: You absolutely need to be sure about the strength and overall structural integrity of your home. Your architect and contractor hopefully have tons of experience building houses, and should know more about these things. But as there owner and the person bankrolling the whole operation, you should be sure to insist on quality materials during the purchase phases. Especially if your building will need materials likea steel post or a telepost.
